Hello, my name is Didier Deras. Together with my wife, Stephany, we founded Somidoodles in 2021.

Somidoodles started with a simple love for dogs and a dream of raising puppies the right way — inside our home, with love, care, and purpose. The thought of watching puppies be born, caring for them during their first weeks of life, and helping them find the right families quickly became something we could not stop thinking about.

Our journey began when we added Cali, our mini red Goldendoodle, to our family. Just one week before bringing Cali home, we saw a picture of Tess and instantly knew she belonged with us too.

Over the last 5 years, we have gained hands-on experience raising puppies, working with families, and growing our program with care and intention. But one thing has never changed: we are still learning.

Before raising our first litter, we spent over a year studying, preparing, and learning everything we could. We watched videos, took courses, read articles, studied the Badass Breeder Guide, and connected with experienced breeders who were willing to share their knowledge with us.

Even today, we continue to learn from other great breeders, mentors, and families in the dog community. We believe a strong breeding program is built with experience, humility, and a teachable attitude.

From the beginning, our goal was clear: to build a breeding program families could trust.

We wanted families to feel confident knowing their puppy was raised with intention, health, temperament, and love in mind. That commitment still guides us today.
